Copying a DVD made in a standalone DVD recorder

I recently purchased a DVD recorder to copy the shows from my DVR to a separate DVD. The problem is, once you create the DVD, you cannot copy it on your PC. Well, apparently it has to do with the video format called DVD-VR. After a quick google search, I ran across a program called FixVTS which corrects the DVD-VR format and allows your PC to makes copies of the DVD. If you are having problems copying your DVD-VR disks, you may want to try this program.
